What Is Clairaudience? My Experience of Hearing Intuitive Guidance

For most of my life, I had no idea that what I experienced had a name.

Sometimes it was just a single word. Sometimes a complete sentence. Sometimes it arrived so suddenly, and so clearly, that I couldn't ignore it.

I didn't think of it as psychic. I didn't think of it as unusual. I simply thought that everyone's mind worked this way.

Whether you see these as psychic abilities, intuitive experiences, or simply different ways people process information, I find them fascinating.

No Two People Experience It the Same Way

This is something I think is incredibly important. I can't tell you exactly what clairaudience feels like, because your experience, if you have one, may be completely different from mine.

Just as no two people dream in exactly the same way, I don't believe intuitive experiences fit neatly into one description.

What Happens During a Reading?

Why I Find It Easier to Read for Other People

People sometimes ask me why I can't simply use these experiences to answer every question in my own life. The honest answer is… because I'm human.

When it comes to ourselves, we're emotionally involved. We have fears. Hopes. Expectations. It's much harder to separate intuition from what we want to be true.

Reading for someone else feels very different. I'm not emotionally invested in the outcome, which allows me to stay present with whatever comes through — even when it's something difficult.
